I reviewed $LNKD a while back and said likewise, "LinkedIN is a social network that serves as a digital resume, crystallizing your accomplishments in a single public webpage. There's a real dichotomy going on there at the moment. Since you're long AAPL you might find it helpful.

As u can imagine seminars are all over the map. Some good. Some bad. I
attended Mark's seminar and thought it was excellent. I have written a
couple of posts on my blog about my experience.

As far as finding a mentor, that's tough. Most good traders don't have
much free time. Joining a trading service is probably the closet thing
you will find to a mentor. However, in a service they will be pushing
their strategy. So, you gotta find one that is close to your trading
style for it to be worthwhile.

Hope this helps a little...

Re: Why I Dropped $4K to Attend Mark Minervini’s Trading Seminar

What are the contact details of the good traders I can talk to for free?

Re: Why I Dropped $4K to Attend Mark Minervini’s Trading Seminar

lol @ "jump out of those windows".

Re: Tim Cook’s First Slip?

The only fact that you provided was #1. NO OTHER COMPANY can say that (FACT); 6) Finally, Apple will reach then pass the Wall Streets highest stock-valuation ($670) & will become the most valuable company in the history of finance, world-wide!!! They stalled the entire industry during they're lost decade. Windows as a product line is too tainted by poor usability and performance to continue. These other companies actually innovated, and then made money. Microsoft really just focused on its early extended licensing deals. It's sad thinking of the lost innovation that Microsoft may have caused. It works great and fits in your shirt pocket. No need for a 7". Would be overkill and would cannibalize iPad's. Let Bezo's and those 2 Google fruitcakes play in the 7' Market.

Re: Who Will Dominate the 7″ Tablet Market This Christmas?

Agreed. A minority of 7" iPads would steal from Apple's 10" iPad sales, cutting margins. But a much higher % of 7" sales would be at the expense of competitors. Very few owners of iPods, iPhones or Macs will choose a competitive tablet even if Apple's price is $100 higher than competitive 7" models.

Re: Who Will Dominate the 7″ Tablet Market This Christmas?

It's up to the market to decide if there is a need for a 7" tablet. For Apple it's a no lose situation. If the 7" takes off they will reap many sales. If it doesn't the 10" is proven & successful. Btw, Apple sells multiple size laptops, desktops, iPods - how much additional marketing does that take? Finally, I don't think Apple will go down to the $199 sales price. IMO, they will sell more at $299 than the others at $199...

Re: Who Will Dominate the 7″ Tablet Market This Christmas?

No 7-inch iPad, plain & simple!! I'm not sure why you & the rest of the media are so eager to watch Apple fail, knowing that their is no need for a 7-inch model iPad since the iPad2 & 3 are leading the industry in sales. Plus none of the other non-iPad devices are selling millions or even hundreds of thousands. You media types or bloggers need to give up on the pay-for-stories or posts model. It only serves to ruin any credibility you have. 7-inch tablets are "duds" + require way too much marketing for really small, possibly non-existent sales.

Re: Has FaceBook Topped?

Agree, but Apple won't buy 'em. At least I hope not. Hopefully AAPL will stick to their small tuck-in type acquisitions. Can't think of too many large acquisitions that have worked. Cisco looked like it had the secret sauce 10 years ago, but at least from a stock perspective it hasn't paid off.

In the overall scheme of things, Facebook is nothing more than an app. It will be hard to ever prove it's worth its valuation...

Re: Has FaceBook Topped?

Zuckerberg does come off like Olsen since he dismissed the effect the iPad would have on mobile, social & tech. He missed the boat & looked like a total "douche" when he had to back pedal only a few months after his initial statements. Then he failed to deliver a native-app for iPhone/iPad/iOS, then wasted $1B just to stop a company (Instagram) from gaining popularity, while releasing a "low-level" alternative. Then, to finally make matters worse & tie-in all of the "bungling" into one, FaceBook allowed Wall-Street to force them into an untimely IPO, based on a "TERRIBLE" valuation. Now they'll have to make a product, that could take them years to develop & market. I don't see FaceBook surviving this! I expect them to either die-off or get bought by Apple in a year or two! That's the only way I see this ending well.

Re: Look out Wall Street: Investors Are Getting Fed Up

Look Out Wall Street! is the name of our educational stock market board game.
